Who Are We

Stepping Stones Childcare Programs operates under the Alberni Valley Childcare Society, which is a registered non profit, community governed childcare organization based in Port Alberni. We offer infant/toddler care, daycare, preschool, before-and-after school care, and multi-age programming for children from infancy through school age. We serve local families, primarily parents seeking licensed, affordable, play-based early learning and childcare. We have been in operation since 1971, and are governed by volunteer, parent-based Board of Directors.
